Technology of Production

Preinsulated pipes of Alfa-Teh, Ltd.

    The production cycle of manufacturing of preinsulated pipes is carried out in strict conformity with 'Production Schedule' and includes:

    • an entrance check-up of raw materials;

    • preliminary processing of steel pipes;

    • installation of aligning polythene rings;

    • installation of Online Remote Check-up system (ORC);

    • dragging of a steel pipe with aligning rings into polythene shell;

    • installation of collar stoppers on end faces of 'a pipe in a pipe' construction, with the aim to create a hermetic internal space;

    • preliminary thermal processing of 'pipe in a pipe' construction, with the aim to get the best adhesion of isolation layer to internal steel pipe and external polythene shell;

    • injection of accurate doses of polyol and isocyanate through the apertures at collar stoppers, on automated filling machine;

    • final quality control of preinsulated pipes, with measurements of normative parameters and registration of 'The Passport Of Quality'.

    In production cycle we use:

    • Carbon steel pipes with external diameter from 57 mm to 1020 mm (from 2 inches to 40 inches) and length up to 12 metres (39.4 feet), according to the GOST 550, GOST 8731, GOST 8733, GOST 10705, GOST 20295.

    • Steel taps, tees, junctions, T-bends etc., according to Russian state standards GOST 17375, GOST 17376, GOST 17378, GOST 17380;

    • Shells made of low pressure / high density polythene, according to GOST 16338.

    Typical warranty on our preinsulated pipes is 5 (five) full-service years.
